Parkland and Bethlehem Catholic spent Wednesday night battling for about 2 hours, but in the end, Parkland came out on top with the exhausting 3-0 (31-29, 27-25, 32-30) win.  Each team had 3 or more set points in each set, but fortunately for the Trojans, the ball fell their way for the final point of all three sets.  Ian Dashekewich lead the way offensively with 11 kills and 4 blocks while JT Siggins chipped in 7 kills and 2 blocks.

Next up for the Trojans is a match at home against Dieruff on Tuesday.  JV will begin at 5:30pm with Varsity beginning around 6:45pm.

Record-Setting Night - Since the PIAA changed to rally scoring in the 2003-2004 school year, last nights match against Bethlehem Catholic ranks as the most points scored in a 3-set match in Parkland boys volleyball history.  The 174 combined points are 24 points more than the previous record which was achieved on 4/11/2012 against Liberty.

Parkland welcomed District One Pennridge for their annual non-league matchup.  Last year, Pennridge downed the Trojans in 3, but this year the Trojans earned the 4 set win 25-19, 25-18, 25-27, 25-22.  The win moves Parkland to 7-1 overall (6-1 EPC).  Jordan Lewis lead the way offensively with 10 kills and 3 blocks while Logan Iacobelli anchored the defense with 18 digs.

Next up for the Trojans is their third match in three days as they visit Bethlehem Catholic Wednesday.  JV is set for 4:00pm and Varsity will begin around 5:15pm.

Parkland traveled to Allen and played well in all facets of the game, taking the match 3-0 (25-16, 25-10, 25-16).  The win moves Parkland to 6-1 on the season.

Parkland downed visiting Pocono Mountain West 3-0 (25-6, 25-12, 25-8) to move to 5-1 on the season.

Next up for the Trojans is the Koller Classic tournament on Saturday.  In pool play, Parkland will face Pennsbury, Emmaus, Central York (#2 AAA), and Penn Manor.  The Trojans begin their pool play at around 9:00am.

In yet another 5-set nailbiter, Parkland downed host Nazareth on Tuesday night 3-2 (25-14, 19-25, 22-25, 25-11, 15-12).  The win moves Parkland to 4-1 while Nazareth falls to 2-4.  Being without the services of two starters, Rylan Nemesh stepped in as middle hitter and contributed 10 kills and 2 blocks.  Jordan Lewis hammered home 11 kills to lead the way offensively while Ian Dashukewich added 10 kills and 5 blocks.  Lucas Adam lit up the service line with 9 aces while also adding 7 kills.

Next up for the Trojans is a home match on Thursday against Pocono Mountain West.  JV will begin at 5:30pm and Varsity around 6:45pm.

Parkland and Liberty seemed like they didn't want to leave the gym on Friday night as their match went deep into the 5th set, lasting around 2 hours and 40 minutes.  In the end, Parkland came out on top with the 3-2 (25-18, 25-27, 19-25, 25-16, 17-15) win.  The win moves Parkland to 3-1 on the season as Liberty falls to 3-2.

Leading the way offensively was Jordan Lewis who exploded for 18 kills, 3 blocks.  Lucas Adam and Seth Fine added 12 kills each while Ian Dashukevitch finished with 10 kills and 6 blocks.

Next up for the Trojans is a match at Nazareth on Tuesday.  JV will begin at 4:30pm with Varsity starting around 5:45pm.

Emmaus came into the Trojans' gym on Monday night playing at a fast pace and never let the Trojans find their groove, defeating Parkland 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-23).  The win keeps Emmaus undefeated this season at 4-0 while Parkland falls to 2-1.  JT Siggins lead the Trojans offense with 7 kills while Rylan Nemesh added 5 and Jordan Lewis added 4.

Next up for the Trojans is another home match against a hot Liberty team.  Liberty fell to Emmaus in the first match of the season in 5 sets but have run off 2 straight wins since then.  JV will begin at 5:30pm with Varsity to follow around 6:45pm.

On Monday night, Parkland and Emmaus will face each other for the first of two regular-season matches.  This time, Parkland will host the Hornets with JV beginning at 5:30pm.  Varsity will begin around 6:45pm.  Both teams are fresh off participating at the Bobcat Invitational over the weekend.  Both teams enter the match undefeated in EPC play with Emmaus at 3-0 and Parkland 2-0.

Participating in the 40-team Northeastern Bobcat Invitational, the Parkland Trojans played well all day only dropping 3 sets, all to state-ranked teams, while finishing 9th.  It was the Trojans first time in the championship bracket since their runner-up finish in 2016.  This year the Trojans downed #1 AA Ambridge 30-16, lost to #4 AAA Exeter 30-22, and defeated Susquehannock 30-17 and Quakertown 30-23.  In the play-in round the Trojans defeated #8 AA Lower Dauphin 18-16, 15-11 to advance to the championship bracket.  After a 2+ hour break, the Trojans were defeated by DXI foe Whitehall #10 AAA 15-11, 15-10 to end the day.  Whitehall went on to push #4 AAA Cumberland Valley in the quarterfinals before falling 15-10, 12-15, 15-9.

Host Northeastern #3 AAA once again hoisted the championship trophy as they defeated county rival York Suburban #3 AA 25-17, 25-21.

District XI team finishes:

  • Whitehall 5th place
  • Parkland 9th place
  • Liberty 9th place
  • Freedom 19th place
  • Emmaus 21st place
  • Nazareth 25th place

On Friday night, Parkland's JV team finished 9th in the JV portion of the tournament.  The Trojans went 4-2 in pool play before falling to Red Lion 25-22 in the first round of playoffs.

In a very evenly played match, Parkland and Freedom battled back and forth but in the end Parkland escaped with the 3-0 (25-22, 28-26, 25-17) win.  The win moves Parkland to 2-0 on the season while Freedom falls to 1-1.  JT Siggins lead the way offensively with 9 kills while Rylan Nemesh and Lucas Adam added 8 kills each.

Next up for the Trojans is a trip to Northeastern (York) HS to compete in the Bobcat Invitational.  Of the 40 teams attending, 12 are state ranked in either AA or AAA.  Parkland is in a pool with #1 AA Ambridge, #4 AAA Exeter, Quakertown, and Susquehannock.
