Congratulations Allentown CC for winning second straight state title
The Allentown Central Catholic Vikettes brought District XI their second straight PIAA state title by defeating North Allegheny on Saturday.  This was by far the strongest year for District XI girls teams, as the year saw Parkland, Emmaus, Bethlehem Catholic and Allentown CC receive recognition in the PAVBCA state rankings and the teams claiming various tournament championships.

ACC takes down Parkland girls for District XI AAA gold
Parkland's girls team had their magical season come to an end last night in the District XI AAA final with a 3-1 (25-14, 25-15, 23-25, 25-15) loss to the defending state and 5-time defending District XI champions Allentown Central Catholic Vikettes.  Parkland brought home the school first ever girls volleyball championship when they captured the LVC Championship last week.

AVP Hot Winter Nights Tour tickets
On Thursday, February 19th, 2009, the AVP's Hot Winter Night Tour will stop in Reading, PA at the Sovereign Center.  Tickets are on sale now.  To purchase or inquire about tickets, contact Don Decker at dondecker@aol.com.  Greats seats are still available.  Group discounts are offered.

Intramurals begin Thursday; Transportation not available
Intramurals will begin this Thursday at Kratzer Elementary School.  Due to a number of reasons, there will NOT be transportation available from the high school. This Thursdays sessions will run as planned but I will be working with the AD's office to get some time in the Aux Gym in the upcoming weeks/months.  The only catch with these dates/times is that they won't be consistent.  Some of the times might be later at night, on random days, etc.  It will hopefully enable those with travel problems the chance to come out.  The finalized list of dates and locations for intramurals can be found here (as of right now) but this will change.  I will update this information as soon as anything is determined.

Club Lehigh 15s looking for players

We are getting close to the start of the boys club season and tryouts.   I am still looking for quality freshmen players for my 15s team.  All positions are open and available.  As you know we have open gyms on Wednesdays at Macungie Elementary.
