Trojans close out week with sweep at Becahi
Parkland finished their opening week of the 2026 season 3-0 following a 3-0 (25-4, 25-6, 25-4) win at Bethlehem Catholic.
Next up for the Trojans is another home, non-league match vs Southern Lehigh on Tuesday. JV will begin at 5:30 pm and Varsity around 6:45 pm.
Match tonight vs Bethlehem Catholic will be Varsity only
Due to a few reasons, the Parkland @ Bethlehem Catholic match tonight will be VARSITY only with a 5:00 pm start time.
JV will practice from 3:00 - 5:00 pm in the Aux Gym.
Trojans grab non-league match over North Penn
Parkland was able to make it 2-0 on the 2026 season with a 3-0 (25-12, 25-16, 25-20) win over a visiting, out-of-district opponent in North Penn. Bear Jacobs (Sr. MH) came out on fire, finishing the night with 10 kills, and added 1 block and 2 aces. Zeke Gorder (So. OH) led the offense with 11 kills and added 2 blocks, while Zamin Soonasra (Jr. OH/OPP) added 9 kills and 11 digs. Owen Barnett (Jr. L) controlled seemingly everything defensively, adding 16 digs and also 3 aces. Gabe Chase (Sr. S) dished out 35 assists and added 9 digs and 1 block.
Next up for the Trojans is another match on Thursday, on the road this time, at Bethlehem Catholic. JV will begin at 4 pm with Varsity starting around 5 pm.

Parkland began the 2026 season with a 3-0 (25-12, 25-16, 25-20) win over visiting Liberty. Zeke Gordner (So. OH) contributed 15 kills and 1 block while Bear Jacobs (Sr. MH) added 12 kills, 4 digs, and 2 blocks. Vishank Somala (Jr. OPP) chipped in 8 kills and 1 block. Owen Barnett (Jr. L) was solid all night, anchoring the defense with 14 digs. Gabe Chase (Sr. S) guided the offense with 34 assists and added 2 aces.
Next up for Parkland is another home match tomorrow night against District 1's North Penn. JV will begin at 5:30pm and Varsity will begin around 6:45pm.

CD scrimmage update
Due to Parkland's boys basketball team continuing in the PIAA playoffs and their next game being Saturday, and several other guys taking SATs, Parkland has to drop out of the Central Dauphin scrimmage. CD has adjusted the schedule to remove Parkland.
Picture Day Information
Pictures will take place on Wednesday, March 11th. Below is the schedule for all of teams. Pictures will take place on the field hockey field (between baseball and softball fields) unless the weather does not cooperate. In that case they will be held in the aux gym.

We will begin practice on Monday, March 9th at 6:45 (instead of 6:30) because of basketball practice times. Booster Club meeting for parents still on at 6:00pm.

Tryouts Tuesday, March 3rd
UPDATE: Tryouts will remain tonight 6:30-8:30pm as planned. Middle School tryouts have been postponed until tomorrow.
Due to the FID and the winter advisory in the area, Parkland is waiting until around 12:30 to determine if spring sports will be able to hold tryouts today, Tuesday, March 3rd. This is the same for Middle School and High School teams. As soon as the information is released, it will be posted here.
Tryout information
Tryouts for the 2026 season will be held on Monday, March 2nd thru Wednesday, March 4th. They will be held from 6:30-8:30pm in the main gym because both boys and girls basketball teams are still playing in the PIAA tournament. Next week's schedule will be determined after this weekend's 1st round basketball games.
REMINDERS: Physicals and ImPACT testing required to tryout
Please remember to bring your completed PIAA physical form (pages 1-5) to your doctor, who will complete section 6. Every athlete MUST complete an ImPACT concussion test before they try out for a sport. ImPACT information: https://www.parklandsd.org/departments/athletics/forms
Physicals MUST be turned in to the Athletic Office by Friday, February 27th, to be eligible to try out on Monday.
FREE physicals offered
The Parkland Athletic Office is offering free PIAA physicals on February 11, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM in the High School Auxiliary Gym.

Open Gym schedule adjusted
Due to Spring Physicals being in the aux gym Wednesday (2/11) night, boys volleyball open gym will be held on Tuesday, 2/10 from 5:30-7:00pm in the aux gym.
Open Gym schedule adjusted (1/28 moved to 1/29)
Due to gym availability, next week's open gym Wednesday (1/28) has been moved to Thursday (1/29) and will be 30 minutes shorter than normal. We will be in the aux gym 5:30-7:00pm.
Tonight's (1/21) open gym is on as scheduled from 5:30-7:30pm.

Due to a home wrestling meet on Wednesday, 1/14, we will be holding an open gym that week on Monday, 1/12 5:30-7:30pm. The calendar has been updated to reflect this change.

Open Gym schedule announced
The 2025-2026 Open Gym schedule has been released and is available on the calendar page. They will begin on Wednesday, November 12th (originally was November 5th, but there are winter physicals in the Aux Gym that night). They will be held on Wednesdays from 5:30 - 7:30pm in the Aux Gym. Open gyms are open to all boys in grades 9-12th grade. Attending is not a requirement for trying out in the spring.
