Parkland saw their season come to an end in the PIAA 3A quarterfinals to PVCA #1 / USA Today #5 Central Dauphin. Parkland gave Central Dauphin all they could handle in the first two sets before CD's senior-laden team ran away with the last two sets to take the match 3-1 (25-21, 19-25, 25-10, 25-13). The win advances the Rams to the semifinals where they will meet PVCA #7 / District XI champion Northampton who outlasted PVCA #10 / District 1 champion Neshaminy in 5 sets. The other semifinal will pit PVCA #2 / District 7 champion North Allegheny vs District 1 Runner-Up Pennridge.

Despite the 90-degree gym, Parkland earned the 3-0 (25-21, 29-27, 25-20) win over Abington Heights. Northampton earned their first-ever District XI AAA title by defeating Parkland 3-1 (25-23, 15-25, 25-21, 28-26).
Next up for Parkland is the 1st Round of the PIAA AAA tournament on Tuesday. They will face District 2 champion Abington Heights. The match will be played at the University of Scranton beginning at 7:00 pm.

District XI AAA Boys Volleyball Championship History
Long-time rivals, #1 Parkland and #4 Emmaus faced off on Tuesday night in the District XI AAA semifinal. After watching #2 Northampton def #3 Whitehall in 4 sets, the Trojans proved too much, taking down the Green Hornets in 3 (25-20, 25-21, 25-20) The win lines up a rematch of the EPC Championship between the K-Kids and Trojans.
Leading the way for Parkland was Matt Bauer (Sr. OH) 10 kills, 3 blocks, and 2 aces while Chase Robbins (Jr. S/OPP) added 9 kills, 1 block, 12 assists, and 7 digs. Lukas Dashukewich (Sr. OH) also added 7 kills, 1 ace, and 7 digs. Rounding on the offensive leaders was Owen Rodgers (So. OPP) 5 kills. Will Stiles (So. S) dished out 16 assists and Azhar Sumar (Sr. L) scooped up 12 digs.
Next up for the Trojans is the District XI AAA Final against Northampton on Thursday night at Catasauqua High School starting at 7:00 pm. Prior to the 3A final, the 2A final will be played between #1 Dock Mennonite vs #7 Southern Lehigh. That match will begin at 5:00 pm.

In a battle of the two hottest teams in the area, Parkland and Northampton faced off on Friday night with the EPC Championship on the line at Allen HS. In the end, Parkland emerged with the 3-1 (25-18, 25-17, 20-25, 25-21) win to claim the title. Chase Robbins (Jr. S/OPP) exploded for 21 kills, 23 assists, and 15 digs. Adam Pursell (Sr. MH) hammered home 6 kills and added 6 blocks, Luke Smith (So. MH) contributed 8 kills, and Matt Bauer (Sr. OH) and Lukas Dashukewich (Sr. OH) each added 7 kills to round out the offense. Will Stiles (So. S) dished out 26 assists. Owen Rodgers (So. OPP) rounded out the offense with 6 kills and 2 blocks. Defensively, Azhar Sumar (Sr. L) added 15 digs and 1 ace. This is the program's 13th conference title and 5th in the last 9 seasons.

The win also means the Trojans have moved into the #1 seed for the upcoming District XI 3A tournament. That gives the Trojans a bye into the semifinal where they will meet the winner of #4 Emmaus vs #5 Freedom. The semifinal will be held on Tuesday, May 24th at a location to be determined.
In a hotly contested match, Parkland rebounded from a slow first set to take the next 3 sets and the match 3-1 (17-25, 25-23, 25-22, 25-15) to advance to Friday's EPC Final. Owen Rodgers (So. OPP) lead the way offensively with 15 kills while adding 3 blocks. Matt Bauer (Sr. OH) hammered 10 kills while adding 2 blocks and 10 digs and Chase Robbins (Jr. S/OPP) 12 kills, 4 blocks, 23 assists, and 12 digs. Luke Smith (So. MH) provided the much-needed spark late in the match and finished with 7 kills and 4 blocks.
Next up for the Trojans is the EPC Final on Friday night at Allen High School against #1 Northampton, who came back from a 2-1 deficit to win in 5 over Easton, 17-15 in the 5th. The match on Friday will begin at 6:00 pm.
