Ivan to be honored prior to Whitehall match tonight

Prior to Parkland's match against Whitehall, Parkland's senior Ivan Stalev will be honored. Parkland enters the match 13-2 in the LVIAC (13-4 overall) and is looking to give Ivan one last home win. JV will begin at 5:30pm and varsity is set to begin around 6:30pm. Ivan's ceremony will begin around 6:20pm, prior to the varsity warm-up.
Trojans cage Canaries 3-0

Parkland rebounded from their loss to Emmaus by defeating the Allen Canaries 3-0 (25-12, 25-15, 25-14) on Wednesday night. Piotr Kuczaj, sporting a face mask due to an accident at practice yesterday, lead the way with 8 kills and 7 blocks. Chris Busack dished out 30 assists and chipped in 6 digs. The win moves Parkland to 13-2 in the LVIAC. Up next for Parkland is Whitehall on Friday night which will be the last match of the year. Prior to the match, Parkland's lone senior Ivan Stalev will be honored.
Emmaus dismantles Trojans in 3

In front of a packed house in Emmaus's gym, the Hornets showed why they are undefeated in LVIAC play defeating the Trojans 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-19). The Hornets offense and defense was firing on all cylinders and never let the Trojans into the match forcing the Trojans to hit at a .130 clip. Matt Sundahl led the Trojans offensively with 10 kills and Chris Busack dished out 23 assists and added in 6 digs.
Penn State Men's Volleyball: National Champions!

Congratulations to Penn State's men's team on capturing the 2008 NCAA Men's Volleyball National Championship, defeating Pepperdine 3-1 (27-30, 33-31, 30-25, 30-23). It was incredible to see 4 Pennsylvania players contributing to the win as Luke Murray (11 blocks), Jay Stauffer, and Ryan Sweitzer all started and Jon Sherrick came in late in the match and added a big block.
Parkland cruises past Vikings 3-0

Visiting Allentown CC showed great improvemet from the first time the two teams faced, but were once again overpowered by the Trojans' offense 3-0 (25-15, 25-11, 25-6). Piotr Kuczaj and Matt Sundahl went for 10 kills each while Andy Buss and Chris Zumberge added in 3 and 4 kills respectively. The Trojans block was solid all night as Kuczaj, Zumberge and Buss sent back 6, 5, and 4 Vikings swings. Parkland moves to 12-1. Next up for the Trojans is a rematch with Emmaus on Monday night, 5/5 at Emmaus.
