Green Hornets earn LVIAC title
Top seed Emmaus proved why they were the top team in the LVIAC all season by downing the second seed Trojans 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-16) to earn their first LVIAC Championship since 2008. Parkland couldn't get into rhythm after fighting to a 10-10 tie in the first set. From there, Emmaus took advantage of every opportunity and were the benefactors of what seemed like every lucky bounce.

Next up for the Trojans is a match-up with District 2 Champion Wyoming Valley West in the quarterfinal round of the District XI AAA tournament. That match will be held tomorrow (5/17) at Parkland beginning at 5:30pm.

LVIAC Semifinal: Parkland gets by Becahi in 5
For the second time this season, Parkland and Bethlehem Catholic gave the crowd everything they could have asked for, going the distance until the 5th set determined the winner. Luckily for the Trojans, this time around ended the same way as the first with an exciting and well played 3-2 (25-14, 23-25, 25-23, 17-25, 15-10) win. Reno Kriz played hurt the entire match but never let it phase him and Aaron Silverstein once again had the magic touch from the service line all night.

The win moves the Trojans to 16-2 on the season and sets up a match with Emmaus for the 2012 LVIAC Championship. The final will be held at 6:00pm Wednesday 5/16 at Liberty High School. The 2012 LVIAC All-Stars will be announced prior to the match.
