Parkland boys will defend their state volleyball title on Saturday

The Parkland Trojans will defend their state title in boys volleyball after beating Central York in the PIAA Class 3A semifinals on Tuesday.
Parkland (20-3) won in straight sets, 25-21, 25-19, 27-25, to set up a rematch of last year’s championship match with District 7 champion Shaler (19-1).
Parkland, the two-time reigning District 11 champion, beat Shaler a year ago in the final 25-15, 25-18, 25-17 to finish the season 23-0.
Saturday’s championship match is at 1:30 p.m. at Penn State’s Recreation Hall.
Shaler advanced to this year’s championship match by beating Warwick 25-16, 25-15, 25-23.
